DDB Singapore Creative Directors Khalid Osman and Lester Lee will take charge of this year’s Crowbar Awards to help identify and celebrate the best young talent.

Osman and Lee started working together as a creative team seven years ago and have since bagged 13 Cannes Lions, including their 10th for StarHub last year. 2015 also marked the year the team won IAS Brand of the Year for the Telco, for the third time. Some of their most awarded campaigns include Home by Homes, 4G4Good, Family Time, MySmartEye and Musical Fitting Rooms.

In addition to StarHub, Osman and Lee are also co-creative directors on McDonald’s, Ministry Of Education and National Volunteer Philanthropy Centre, leading a 20-strong creative group that has scored features in Contagious, Mashable, Fast Company and PSFK.

“For the last few years, we have been busy staffing our creative group with the hottest young talent in the region – Crowbar Winners. So obviously this year, we are not just honoured to chair the show, we are excited that we (along with the other jurors) will get first dibs on the freshest talent in the house,” Osman said.

Started in 2001, the Crowbar has since become a leading award show for emerging creatives to showcase their best ideas. The show now attracts over 1000 entries from local, regional and international tertiary institutions. This includes entries from the US, UK, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. The entries, which span the disciplines of Advertising, Design, Photography, Interactive and Film, are judged by leading industry creatives, photographers, directors and producers. Crowbar is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore (The 4As).

Call for entry starts April 15.
