Chiew (left) will be responsible for helping to drive the agency’s creative profile in the region, working across a broad client list, which includes Sony Ericsson, adidas, Johnnie Walker, Heineken, Tiger Beer, Sony and Audi. In the past two years, iris’ Singapore office has grown from 25 to 70 people.

During his career, Chiew has been involved in developing global, regional and local campaigns for a range of clients and has won a number of industry awards including three Cannes Gold Lions, an EFFIE and a Gold Pencil.

Subha Naidu, creative director of iris Singapore, said: “Clarence is a
man of many, many talents. Merging great ideas with new technology,
crafting beautiful copy as well as being a creative leader are all in a
day’s work. What’s not in a day’s work is his passion for authentic
Andalusian Flamenco dance, which will undoubtedly push our presentation
abilities to the next level. It’s a real honour to have him join our
gang.”

Prior to joining JWT in 2006, rising through the ranks of senior
copywriter and creative group head to associate creative director, Chiew
was copywriter for communications agency 10AM from 2003 and prior to
that worked at Crush and Orange Interactive.
