Ogilvy & Mather Bangkok and TBWA Thailand score Gold at London International Awards
Thai agencies have performed very well at the London International Awards picking up a total of nine Statues and two Finalists. Thailand’s performance included 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze awards. The LIA judging was held last month at the Encore at Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, convening over a ten-day period, with results announced this morning.
Thailand’s nine statues was the best performance by an Asian country outside of Japan, who were awarded 30 Statues and 11 Finalists – made up of 1 Grand LIA, 6 Gold, 11 Silver and 12 Bronze.
Leading the way is Ogilvy & Mather Bangkok and TBWA Thailand who both won multiple awards including Gold. Ogilvy Bangkok won two Gold and two Silver Statues and TBWA Thailand scored a Gold and a Silver Statue. Ogilvy’s Golds were both in Design for their PETA Asia campaign titled “Behind the Leather”. TBWA’s statues were for their McDonald’s print campaign titled “Loving the Night”.
Also picking up statues are GREYnJ United Bangkok with a Silver for their short film for Nautilus Tuna Spread titled “The Break-Up” and J. Walter Thompson Bangkok with 2 Bronze statues for “Touchable Ink”.
