12 Asian creatives invited to judge D&AD

yellow_pencil.jpgD&AD has announced its jury panel for next year’s awards, which include 12 jurors from Asia. D&AD recognise the best creative work in advertising and design from around the world with the Yellow and Black Pencils.

Judges from across Asia include: Dirk Eschenbacher (Tribal DDB Shanghai), Kevin Lee (Ogilvy + Mather Shanghai), Horace Luke (HTC), Carol Lam (McCann Erickson Shanghai), Shailesh Khandeparkar from India, Koichiro Tanaka (Projector Inc.), Toshiya Fukuda (777 International), Satoshi Takamatsu (ground Tokyo), Hiroki Nakamura (Dentsu Tokyo), Yoji Nobuto (Shiseido, Japan), Benjy Choo (Kilo Studio, Japan) and Victor Ng from Singapore.

To launch the awards, D&AD President Sanky addressed the world’s creative community in as many languages as possible, including Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Malay, and Thai. D&AD’s Behind the Scenes video shows Sanky’s journey through learning the various languages.

Work entered before 29 November 2010 will receive a 10% discount – see Sanky’s message in Korean. Eligible entries will be accepted until Monday 31 January 2011. Judging takes place from 11 to 14 April 2011 in London, with the winners set to be announced in May.
