Japanese delegates at AdFest create this “Dear Japan, from Phuket” message of hope
Here’s a project that all started at this year’s AdFest held in Phuket in March.
While out in Phuket the Japanese delegates were struck by how many local Thais were coming up to them saying “Don’t worry, You’ll be alrigh” with such strong and positive faces.
“At first we couldn’t understand why people came to us with smiles on their faces, but soon after we realized that they were actually the survivors of the Tsunami in 2004, the terrible one which killed 227,898 people,” said Ai Yamamoto from AOI Advertising Promotion Inc. in Tokyo.
“Their messages were so strong, and it struck us so hard, that we felt that we should deliver this message to the people in Japan.”
The Dear Japan Project is a volunteer group organized by this group of Japanese and Thai delegates in Phuket.
