Partnering GO Communications in Sri Lanka is Niche Corporate Communications, headed by Nayomini Ratnayake Weerasooriya Niche CEO, who has built a name for herself as a journalist, columnist, founder/editor of Satyn, leading women’s magazine and for pioneering PR in Sri Lanka. Weerasooriya joins the GO Communications network that has already established a firm foot-hold in Asia throughout Malaysia, Cambodia and Thailand at a time when this part of Asia is ready to enter a new phase in Public Relations.

GO Communications handles PR for many of Asia’s and the world’s high profile clients who have benefitted from the agency’s unique and innovative approach. De Kretser and Weerasooriya confirm that they plan to provide similar services for clients in Colombo who want to pursue PR that goes beyond what is being done currently.

“There’s so much potential for Sri Lankan companies in terms of doing world class PR” says de Kretser, who has the singular honour of being the first PR professional in Malaysia to be listed in the international Who’s Who, ” It’s a two way approach – on one hand, there’s so much that can be done to enhance the image building exercises for organizations here at home. On the other, we could take those organizations to a worldwide audience via a unique PR platform.”

“PR is actually an industry that offers a lot more than just a few of the services being offered right now” says Weerasooriya, ” With cutting edge expertise from GO Communications, we are able to offer innovative strategies and outstanding PR solutions to Sri Lankan organizations interested in going beyond the ordinary, everyday activities.”

GO Communications work on a unique platform that gives the company specialized in-depth knowledge through a well entrenched network of partner PR agencies in each of the markets they are in. ” We can offer localized know-how and expertise that combines well with our global and regional expertise to offer each client the best possible combination” adds de Kretser.

GO Communications plan to enter new markets that include Myanmar, Indonesia and Vietnam by the middle of 2013. “Public Relations has become a key component of every company’s marketing effort.” Says Bob Chua Chairman of the GO Communications Group (above right)  “We are placed strategically across the Asian region to provide outstanding PR skills to our clients globally and regionally”.
