BBH China appoints Arthur Tsang as chief creative officer, Tim Browne as planning head + elevates Arto Hampartsoumian and Christine Ng
Arthur Tsang has been appointedas Chief Creative Officer at BBH China.
Tsang (pictured far right) has been a key player in the evolution of advertising in China across an outstanding 15-year career, shaping advertising for world class clients such as Dove, Wrigley, Mars, Mercedes Benz, Coca Cola, Mengniu and Unilever.
Most recently CCO of BBDO Beijing and ECD of BBDO South China and BBDO Guangzhou, Tsang’s expertise lies in multichannel storytelling, growing and diversifying agency business across geographies and shaping popular culture.
A graduate of The University of Oxford, New College, Tsang is also a musical aficionado who has trained in classical voice and was a former recording artist in Hong Kong. His commercial connections in the music world led him to start a full – service music studio and collaborate with leading musicians.
Tim Browne (pictured second left) joins BBH China as Head of Planning. Browne brings a diverse and unique skillset, encompassing advertising, PR, content, qualitative and quantitative research and has worked across three different continents; driving global and local brands across his 22 – year career. He was most recently Head of Planning at McCann Healthcare London. Before that, he worked at global agencies JWT London and EURO RSCG Worldwide, planning blue chip brands such as Dulux, Nestle Rowntree, BMW and Reckitt Benckiser. Browne has earned a reputation in the industry as being a pioneer of integrated campaigns that have shaped and impacted brands. The Frosties ‘Earn Your Stripes’ and Peparami ‘Fanimal’ campaigns were so successful that they are still running in market today after some 20 years.
A Kings College of London graduate, Browne is a prolific prose writer and a collector of Urban and Contemporary Art.
BBH China has also elevated long standing leadership team Arto Hampartsoumian and Christine Ng to Executive Chairman and CEO respectively.
Hampartsoumian (pictured far left) and Ng (second right) are one of the longest serving leadership teams at a global agency in China. 2018 will be their twelfth year as both the founders and the key management team at BBH China.
As Executive Chairman Hampartsoumian will provide overview and council to the Management team in the strategic development of the agencies’ evolved multiple offerings as well as continuing to nurture key client relationships.
As CEO Ng will drive the growth of the existing business and lead the development of collaborations with new partners, particularly in the areas of entertainment and IP. Together with the Chief Creative Officer and Head of Planning, Ng will ensure BBH consistently delivers on the BBH creative DNA of ‘turning intelligence into magic’.
Tsang said, “It’s a huge legacy and fantastic brand that needs to be lived up to and that is a wonderful but daunting opportunity. Browne said on his appointment, “I’ve always wanted to work for BBH, from the moment I joined the industry, so the decision to join BBH China was a very easy one.
