OCBC Bank, GOVT Singapore and Royston Tan tell Gurmit Singh’s imperfect journey

Movie poster.jpgSingaporeans have grown up side-by-side with Gurmit Singh, who was born the same year Singapore was founded. But beyond the laughs they’ve shared with him, they’ve never really got to know his real story.

So rather than show Singh as we’ve all seen him before, OCBC Bank worked with GOVT Singapore to reveal his untold story, and through that imperfect journey, show how OCBC Life Goals’ financial planning programme can keep you on track throughout the twists and turns of life.

Acclaimed director Royston Tan was brought on board to tell Singh’s emotional story, with the delicate touch required a journey deep into his past.

The 3-minute film spearheaded a nationwide campaign to promote OCBC Bank’s Life Goals programme.

“Our team has been working tirelessly to push the creative work into spaces rarely seen by a Singaporean bank. It’s motivating to see that effort paying off, and hopefully it rewards our clients’ bravery and trust in us,” said Stephen Kyriakou, Creative Director at GOVT Singapore.

Imperfect Journeys comes on the heels of a charming campaign in which OCBC Bank and GOVT combined to help a 6-year-old director develop her first commercial in an effort to teach kids the value of saving for its Mighty Savers programme.
