Comzone Cambodia performs mission possible for J Trust Royal Bank re-branding exercise

On the morning of Monday, August 19th, people across Cambodia were greeted by the freshest “new face” in town — that of the J Trust Royal Bank brand mark and its soothing bright-blue-and- white color palette which appeared in countless places where the once-ubiquitous ANZ Royal logo stood.

 

It seemed like all those familiar blue ANZ branding vanished overnight and the bank’s branches miraculously metamorphosed to their new look bearing a pair of bright blue circular graphic icons and the name J Trust Royal Bank.

Behind this magical transformation was the Comzone Group. Although the initial brief provided for this project to re-brand the bank’s 14 branches located in 5 different cities across Cambodia appeared to be straightforward, Comzone was given the critical task of completing it simultaneously within 20 hours.

Comzone Group CEO Lundy So and his team embraced the challenge without hesitation. “In collaboration with representatives of our Tokyo based J Trust Group client, we started by devoting our most senior and experienced resources to this project that we fondly refer to as Mission Impossible. This project showed us that with months of careful detailed planning, the impossible can truly be possible,” said So.

All that planning culminated in a “changeover” day where J Trust Royal Bank came into being to mark the successful completion of the sale to the J Trust Group of ANZ’s 55% stake in ANZ Royal Bank.
