Who Killed The Adman? This is a short film made by prominent creative director Norman Tan and his daughter Lily.
The film is dedicated to the past and present Chinese admen for their passion towards the advertising industry. It features many high profile admen and adwomen who have “survived” the Chinese ad industry.

Survived? In a new world these dinosaurs need to become extinct. Relics of a forgotten era holding on through friendships and connections. They’re the very ones holding the industry back in China.
Too many senior creatives spending way too much time on internal award programmes, and not being client focussed, is what killed the(se) Admen.
Instead of a warm reunion, it comes across as a pity party.
I have healthy respect for the work of CC Tang….the others, I don’t know what they’ve
really done except the usual stuff made to win an award…and endless self promotion.
The cynicism with which they seem to suggest that advertising was great when they were
around and now sucks is downright depressing. I’m sure they won no fans for this.
