Austin Powers joins Jack Morton as APAC Lead for innovation practice, Genuine X, and Strategy Director for Singapore

Jack Morton has appointed Austin Powers as Genuine X APAC Lead and Strategy Director for the agency’s Singapore office.

 

In this newly created role, Powers (pictured) will spearhead the agency’s innovation practice, Genuine X, in APAC and oversee strategy for the Singapore office. As Genuine X APAC Lead, he will help clients across the region create extraordinary experiences by harnessing the opportunities presented at the intersection of emerging technology, content and data. He will be based in Singapore, reporting to Charles Robinson, SVP, Managing Director at Jack Morton Singapore and Damian Ferrar, Global Head of Genuine X.

Powers brings over a decade of experience in Asia, working across fine art, film and marketing, using his insight into culture and society as a platform to create meaningful connections between brands and audiences. Prior to joining Jack Morton, he was director of immersive & interactive, APAC, at Freeman in Shanghai. Over the years he has worked with a wide variety of brands including Disney, Warner Bros, Ubisoft, Omega, Porsche, BMW and Microsoft.

Outside of work, he is a passionate conservationist, certified dive master and underwater photographer. He is also the co-founder of Loud Ocean, a non-profit organization working across media, travel and education to support ocean conservation and inspire positive change.
