F5 Shanghai creates an interactive installation Tmall Global Hotline to Call locals worldwide for shopping tips
With the consumption upgrade in China, more Chinese consumers start to have an increased appetite for imported goods. However, with millions of products vying to penetrate the China market, how do Chinese consumers learn about them?
That’s why, F5 Shanghai created an interactive installation called the “Tmall Global Hotline” for China’s no.1 cross-border e-commerce platform Tmall Global.
Embedded with Chinese and multi-language translation system, the installation enables Chinese consumers to ask shopping tips from people around the world, from celebrities to diplomats and more.
Data from Tmall Global shows that more than 55% of its users are millennials. Compared to the previous generations, this new generation is very independent-minded. Thus, unlike traditional media, having a creative installation is a good way to get them interested in Tmall Global and its offerings.
FenQi, the Project Leader from Tmall Global said, “‘Tmall Global Hotline’” is not just a marketing campaign in my opinion, we hope this will become a part of Tmall’s international service experience. As we are seeking brand upgrades, this actually upgrades our services, products and business models. “
