Leading integrated digital marketing solution services group YDM Thailand acquires MullenLowe Thailand

YDM Thailand Co Ltd is to take over MullenLowe Thailand it was announced today. YDM is Thailand’s leading provider of integrated digital marketing solution services. The two companies aim to explore collaborations and provide extended synergies in order to better serve their clients.

 

The acquisition will deepen MullenLowe Thailand’s integration into YDM Thailand’s management. The combination of MullenLowe Thailand’s branding and creative services with YDM Thailand’s services will significantly enhance its ability to provide a one-stop services that offer a seamless online and offline consumer experience in the local marketing services sector. While YDM Thailand will lend its full support to MullenLowe Thailand including digital marketing and marketing technology tools, making it to be able to offer better solutions to its clients.

Following the acquisition, MullenLowe Thailand will be renamed “MullenLowe Bangkok”. It is the most recent company to be taken over by YDM Thailand in its group of companies. Today, YDM Thailand Group of Companies has 10 affiliate firms. The group has plans to list on the stock Exchange in the future.

Tanapon Subsomboon, CEO of YDM Thailand said MullenLowe is the legendary creative advertising company that operates in Thailand for more than five decades. MullenLowe has a reputation for providing exceptional advertising production services and has many CEOs who have experiences in the advertising production and quality employees. It has won some of the most prestigious advertising awards.

MullenLowe Thailand was originally created under the name of Lintas Thailand. It was then renamed MullenLowe Thailand as it is today. Recently, MullenLowe has made business restructuration to companies it owns in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. In Thailand, MullenLowe has worked in partnership with local advertising agencies instead of establishing a new company. Now, the company has many clients that include Unilever Thailand that owns “Sunlight”, “Knorr”, and “Magnum Ice Cream” brands, “SCG”, “Chaindrite”, “Bluescope Zacs” and more.

MullenLowe is owned by IPG, a global provider of marketing solutions. Creative advertising company FCB Bangkok, which is a subsidiary of YDM Thailand, is also owned by IPG. To strengthen its leading position, IPG’s CEO had talks with YDM Thailand’s executives over a merger to allow FCB Bangkok team to work with MullenLowe team. This is because FCB Bangkok has been doing well in business. Following the merger, MullenLowe Thailand will be renamed “MullenLowe Bangkok”. The company aims to grow a revenue of 50 million baht in 2020. It’s the most recent company to be taken over YDM Thailand in its group of companies. Now, YDM Thailand Group of Companies has 10 subsidiary companies.

“YDM Thailand has worked closely with FCB Bangkok over projects to provide integrated marketing communications services that include branding, digital marketing services and marketing technology tools to their clients. The projects have received positive response from clients.

The acquisition of MullenLowe Thailand will significant enhance our ability to provide a fully integrated marketing solutions, from branding to integrated marketing services to our clients. With integrating FCB Bangkok’s creative advertising services with the acquisition of MullenLowe Thailand, YDM Thailand will be able to better cater to the needs of clients, said Khun Tanapon.

According to him, YDM Thailand Group of Companies will lend its support to MullenLowe Thailand including digital marketing services and technology tools. Today, MullenLowe Thailand mainly handles above-the-line marketing activities. By doing this, the two companies will be able to offer an integrated experience to clients both online and offline.
