foodpanda appoints UM Thailand for communications duties following a competitive pitch that concluded in March.
foodpanda, the International on-demand food delivery service has grown in more than 325 cities across 13 Asian and Central Europe countries globally including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Romania and Bulgaria. The company, which belongs to Delivery Hero, worldwide leader of the food delivery industry, distinguished UM’s overarching strength in data-fueled strategy and creativity as their deciding factor in the new partnership.
“It was our better science, better art, better outcomes proposition that won this client”, said UM Thailand Managing Director Nuttavena Thepchatri. “Teamwork is the fuel that drives our success. Our work demonstrates a fusion of the best strategic thinking, data insights, and creativity, from our cross functional team of specialist talent.”
Thepchatri continues, “We are so happy to partner with foodpanda in Thailand. This is a daring, fun, and relatively young International brand that acknowledge and celebrate the local culture and nuance in every market in which they operate. This has been key to their success and rapid expansion. We really look forward to collaborating in building upon this great reputation across Thailand.”
The new business appointment is effective May 2020, and comes hot on the heels of UM winning the foodpanda business across the Philippines earlier this year.
