Publicis Sapient appoints Jaz Lim as Head of Experience based in Singapore

Publicis Sapient has hired Jaz Lim as Head of Experience effective immediately.

A strategic new hire, Lim will be leading the ongoing growth of the experience craft in Singapore, in line with the revitalisation of the craft under the leadership of Global CXO, John Maeda. As the bridge between strategy and engineering, she will bring world-class products and service design to clients across South East Asia with a focus on financial services, retail and healthcare.

Lim returns to Publicis Sapient after working at Citibank and Cognizant, where she led the customer experience (CX) and experience design (XD) practice. Over the past 25 years, she has worked in San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam and London, and brings her varied experiences in traditional and digital marketing, complex platform development, research, data analytics and visualisation, building on her background in psychology and mathematics.

Alongside leading experience design projects that drive business outcomes for clients in Southeast Asia, Lim will also be focused on operationalising Publicis Sapient’s proprietary LEAD design framework and growing a world-class, AI-ready design team in Singapore.

Lim said “Experience design is an ever-evolving journey. I am inspired by Publicis Sapient’s vision to not only create experience design, but to lead experience transformation.”

She added “Today’s consumer expectations are high, and will only get higher. They expect immediacy, a personalised experience that is contextual, at the same time, they worry about privacy. Making sure we have the right formulation and the right ingredients when we design experience, is key. To be Light, Ethical, Accessible and Dataful is the recipe.”

Jonathan Sharp, managing director of Publicis Sapient ASEAN, stated: “Jaz is one of those rare talents within the digital transformation field. Her exceptional abilities to combine data, technology, research and creativity to build digital experiences that delight users across all stages of the customer journey, make her one of a kind and we are excited to have her back
in our team.”

Sharp added: “Jaz’s appointment is a testament to our commitment to change industries and bringing consumer-centricity to our clients’ business; to continually push the limits of working in a dynamic environment; and to our belief of upholding diversity & inclusiveness within our organisation. We call this our brave pursuit of the next.”

Lim will be based in Singapore and will work in partnership with Sharp, and Tokyo-based Regional Head of Experience, Symon Hammacott.
