For the second straight year Directors Think Tank claims top spot at Marketing Magazine Malaysia’s Merdeka Expert Choice Awards
Repeating their success in 2019, Directors Think Tank (DTT) has been awarded yet again with the number one spot in Marketing Magazine’s annual Expert’s Choice Awards for Merdeka. Voted by 1,339 of the magazine’s readers, the awards honour the top 15 spots during the Merdeka and Malaysia Day season.
Claiming the number one spot is Telekom Malaysia’s Hari Kebangsaan & Hari Malaysia TM 2020 #KembaliTegu, Bersama, directed by DTT’s Maurice Noone. The cinematic film is a celebration of our nation’s spirit of determination to move forward in the new normal, with everyone working together to rebuild a stronger Malaysia. The team traveled nationwide to capture Malaysians of different age and professions to showcase despite our different backgrounds and situations, we all remain optimistic for the future ahead.
Also making its way into the Expert’s Choice list at number 14, is Milo’s 70 Tahun Kebaikan directed by Zaim Rosli. With Merdeka festivities coinciding with Milo’s 70th anniversary, the team brought to life the story of the nation’s favourite drink powering and supporting Malaysian athletes over the past 70 years. The film features a montage if iconic footage from historical sporting matches of professional sports figures and self-shot videos from everyday fitness enthusiasts all with the same mission – never giving up of their sporting dreams and living healthier lives.
In 2019, DTT’s work for Axiata (Getaran Pertama, directed by Rajay Singh) and Maxis (Filem Hari Kebangsaan Maxis, directed by Maurice Noone) also made the top 10 list of Merdeka ads. The Axiata spot, took home the number one position.
