Directors Think Tank Singapore and VaynerMedia deliver latest OPPO campaign

VaynerMedia and Directors Think Tank Singapore have just collaborated on the latest regional OPPO campaign. The campaign looks to capture the joy the users feel and experience when they use OPPO products.

As the festive period is fast approaching, OPPO is looking to shine some light on what has been a very challenging year for everybody and remind consumers that a lot is possible, people can still ‘Find Their Joy’. The festive season is the best opportunity for consumers to purchase OPPO products at great value.

The campaign has been very specifically tailored to not be hard-sell and sale focused, but instead bring an emotional angle to the forefront of communications and look to educate the consumer about the benefit of OPPO’s phone and IOT products (OPPO Watch, OPPO Enco Headphones) that may allow you to feel like you can still do so much even without the ability to travel – i.e. something to look forward to.

Featured in the film is the A.l Colour Portrait mode, in a demonstration that no matter what happens due to the pandemic, you can still ‘Find Your Joy’ by doing what you had originally intended to do, this festive season.

In the film a young boy’s upcoming school performance gets cancelled, he then finds himself disappointed at having to put his dreams on hold. With the help of his parents, the boy’s brother takes matters into his own hands and orchestrates a surprise that helps the young boy rediscover joy.

VJ Anand, Head of Creative, VaynerMedia APAC says, “ With this film, we wanted to remind people that we can still make joyful moments happen, even though things get cancelled or they don’t go according to plan. It’s a really important message right now, with everything that’s going on, and we hope to be able to tell many more inspiring stories like this one”

“The script was good and I felt I really wanted to get a good emotional connection. I wanted to make it relevant to the current time, but not be so blatant in making it about the pandemic. We wanted to really bring in the sibling rivalry and how we get better in the end, and show how we should look after each other. Also, this shoot was a whole experience for me personally as my son is one of the lead actors and this was the first time I had to work with him,” added Rajay Singh, director/Co-founder Directors Think Tank.

Shu Ying, Producer, Directors Think Tank Singapore said “As I have just taken the role of Producer at the DTT Singapore office, I feel this is a great spot to hit the ground running with.”

“Since returning to DTT, I have been tasked with helping to grow and expand our already busy Singapore office. Having the quality of Shu Ying as our Singapore-based Producer will only enhance our continuing success in the region,” adds Stephen Douglas, Executive Director, Directors Think Tank.
