Thailand’s Mum Films ranked #1 in Bestads Production Company Rankings 2020; Suthon Petchsuwan and Wuthisak Anarnkaporn ranked #1 and #3 in Bestads Director Rankings

Australasia’s Good Oil Films has been ranked the world’s number one production company in the 17th Annual Bestads Rankings, released today. Good Oil, with offices in Australia and NZ, was ahead of #2 ranked Bangkok’s Mum Films, trans-Tasman company FINCH, US-UK based Biscuit Filmworks and US-UK based Smuggler.

 

US-UK based MJZ is in equal 6th spot alongside Europe-US based Pulse Films, UK-US based Somesuch, Europe-US based Stink Films and NZ headquarted Sweetshop (with offices in Australia, US, UK, China and Thailand). US based Hungry Man is ranked 11th.

In the 2020 Bestads Director Ranking Mum Films Bangkok’s Suthon Petchsuwan is ranked the #1 director globally. Biscuit’s Andreas Nilsson is ranked #2 followed by Wuthisak Anarnkaporn from Factory 01 Thailand at #3. Australian director Kim Gehrig from Revolver was ranked #4 Director in 2020, with Australia’s The Glue Society (via Revolver) at #6.

Thailand’s Thanonchai Sornsriwichai (Phenomena) and former BBDO Bangkok’s Suthisak Sucharittanonta both ranked in the Top 20. As did Australasian directors Kyra Bartley and Christopher Riggert (both from FINCH), Adam Stevens, Fiona McGee and Dave Wood (all from Good Oil), and Damian Shatford from Sweetshop.

The 2020 Bestads Rankings of the top production companies and directors in the world is based on points awarded for work selected in Top 6 of the Week on bestadsontv.com in 2020. The Rankings also include the top advertising agencies, executive creative directors, creative directors, creatives and client companies.
