Weber Shandwick has announced the promotion of Vanessa Ho Nikolovski (pictured right) to Chief Client & Growth Officer, Asia Pacific and Albert Shu (pictured left) to President, Hong Kong and Singapore. The roles are effective immediately.

“The whole of our senior team in APAC has shown incredible leadership through a very challenging time. At the start of this new year, I am very excited to see what Vanessa and Albert bring to our Asia Pacific community in their new and expanded roles,” said Baxter Jolly, CEO, Asia Pacific, Weber Shandwick.

In her newly created, cross-region role, Nikolovski will apply her considerable strategic ability and client management expertise in overseeing regional practice leadership, marketing, and new business development with a key focus on the strategic growth and opportunities for the firm’s Asia Pacific business. Nikolovski was previously Managing Director, Singapore and Chair, Client Services, Asia Pacific.

“Vanessa’s contribution to our clients is immeasurable; I consider her one of the best client professionals I have known throughout my career. It’s been both a pleasure and an inspiration watching her work and grow over the past two decades of our history together,” says Jolly.

Shu, currently Managing Director of Weber Shandwick Hong Kong, will assume responsibility for Weber Shandwick’s Singapore operations, deepening the synergy between the firm’s two regional hubs. Within his expanded role, Shu will work to provide a crucial, unified workflow for the firm’s regional clients both within Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as those seeking a multi-market approach.

“Albert’s commitment to his people and the leadership of his community has played a vital role in Weber Shandwick’s success over the years. His integrity in providing an unmatched client experience for his clients while perpetually nurturing his team for success has consistently helped drive our business forward,” Baxter concluded.
