Uniplan promotes Gordon Wang to Managing Director of Beijing Office, and hires Hui Ping Pek as Chief Financial Officer

Uniplan has promoted Gordon Wang (pictured right) from General Manager to Managing Director of their Beijing office. Hui Ping Pek (left), joined Uniplan on February 1st as the new Chief Financial Officer, and will be based in the Shanghai office.

 

Wang has more than 15 years experience in the industry and will be driving the Beijing-based Uniplan business and particularly develop the customer-centric Uniplan approach.

Hui Ping has more than 25 years of finance experience with a strong leg in the media and agency business.

CEO, Greater China. “Gordon has driven significant business growth to our Beijing office since joining Uniplan three years ago.” Despite the pandemic that massively affected the brand experience industry worldwide, Gordon was able to broaden the scope of Uniplan and develop hybrid and virtual projects for longstanding and new clients. “He constantly drives the team to deliver innovative client solutions, resulting in the successful execution of many memorable projects.”

Wang said: “I’m deeply honoured to take on the new role. With our customer-centric approach, we have adapted quickly to help our clients with innovative ideas against the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to our industry. Opportunities presented itself with technologies that we had already been using and accelerated new technologies that we were experimenting with. Uniplan owner Christian Zimmermann points out the wealth of experience that comes with new CFO Hui Ping. After her studies at Nanyang Technological University, she worked for Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola and network agencies like Wunderman, Publicis and Dentsu Aegis. Singapore-born Hui Ping lived and worked in China, Singapore and Europe, bringing international and intercultural experience into her Uniplan role. “We are happy to have her on board”, Christian said.

Hui Ping said: “I always had a passion for languages, economy and finance. That might have been the reason for my career path up to this stage. I am looking forward to working with the incredible talent at Uniplan and create new successes with them.” Being fluent in Chinese and English with some basic Cantonese and French skills, Hui Ping can also add German to her set of languages. “Another nice opportunity to learn something new.”
