Seven Sunday Films announces new leadership team following regional expansion into Singapore & Malaysia
Seven Sunday Films has announced the appointment of a new executive management team following the promotion of five key staff and growth out of its Singapore, Indonesian and Malaysian offices.
Steered by SSF founder and president, Rodney Louis Vincent, the new leadership team sees senior producer Yugi Darmawan step into the role of executive producer, while producers Gilang Darmawan and Afeeq Nadzrin have both been promoted to exec producer, in addition to vice presidents of production and communication, respectively. Office manager Dessy Arsyad has been promoted to director of operations and finance director Pantun Hutagaol also joins the management team.
Last year’s launch of two new south east regional offices – Singapore and Malaysia, is due to SSF enjoying high demand from European and North American-based clients seeking out local production knowledge and experienced production teams offering remote shooting capability across Asia.

He also recognises that Indonesia is somewhat overlooked as a production hub and this oversight often leads to missed opportunities for international clients seeking out world-class production services.

As well as shooting productions for big name clients including PNG Singapore and Traveloka, last year SSF Jakarta became the only production house outside of Singapore to shoot for the country’s government body, The Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. SSF is also currently leading numerous remote shooting and green screen film productions, working around strict Covid-19 safety protocols.
Vice president of production and EP, Gilang Darmawan, says: “We have opened up to allow shooting once more. People can return on a work visa, but if they are cautious of travelling then we offer remote shooting as a service. From the brief right through to the execution, we can complete your production remotely, remaining in constant online contact and employing the latest contemporary technology, including Q-Take.
“Our goal with the new offices in Singapore and Malaysia is to provide streamlined unification whereby a client can work remotely and directly with an appointed producer across our three office locations. This eliminates any concerns over logistics, travel and accommodation budgets, or hiring equipment and crew. Our all-inclusive package aims to be extremely time and cost effective for our clients.”
SSF also continues to provide flexible production services to overseas-based directors and production companies; last year assisting with a campaign shoot for Turkish Airlines, which followed a large-scale production for Coca-Cola the previous year.
