Edelman names Neeraj Khanna Head of Marketing for APAC

Edelman has appointed Neeraj Khanna as Head of Marketing for its agency network in Asia-Pacific. In his new role, Khanna will lead the network’s regional marketing strategy, reporting into Bob Grove, Chief Client and Operating Officer at Edelman APAC.

Khanna joins the world’s largest public relations firm from the media industry, where he served in a similar capacity at Omnicom Media Group for 6.5 years, in both the MENA and APAC regions. His career spans across various forms of media, including print, TV, radio and large-scale events, while his previous agency experience involved managing the reputation of agencies across 23 markets in MENA and APAC.

Grove said: “As we continue to develop world-leading thought leadership, such as the Edelman Trust Barometer and Brand Trust Study, Neeraj will play an important role in helping our clients and the broader communications and marketing world, apply these insights to their own organisations. He’ll also drive awareness of product and practice innovations in areas such as big data and analytics, digital, public affairs, reputation management, employee engagement and brand storytelling across our core industry sectors.”

Khanna said: “Edelman has always been a leading force in the markets I’ve worked in. As the marketing industry continues to be disrupted, facing the rise of adblockers and a waning trust in brand advertising for example, Edelman’s unique approach and independence allow the firm to create truly impactful and breakthrough solutions for its clients. I’m thrilled to be joining the team at such an exciting time for the communications industry, and look forward to partnering with APAC markets to showcase their innovative work on a global stage.”
