Publicis Groupe names Lawrence Yang as Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Media Hong Kong

Publicis Groupe has announced the appointment of Lawrence Yang as Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Media Hong Kong effective on the 1st of June 2021.

 

He is tasked to build the strategic value propositions for media brands and broader portfolio strategy to accelerate business growth and transformation. Reporting directly to Tom Kao, CEO of Publicis Groupe Hong Kong, Yang will oversee all media brands in Hong Kong, including Zenith, Starcom, Spark Foundry, Digitas, Performics and Publicis PMX.

Yang brings 15 years of industry experience as a growth-focused leader, working for global agencies includes GroupM and Publicis Groupe in Australia and the USA. Having been with dentsu for seven years, he started his career as the General Manager of iProspect Hong Kong and regional director APAC. He was promoted to dentsu International Hong Kong Media Line of Business CEO in 2020, overseeing all dentsu media brands including Carat, dentsu X, iProspect, dentsu consulting and dentsu trading & investment unit. He has worked with many renowned and innovative brands such as Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, DBS Bank, Shiseido, Dropbox, Hilton and the Peninsula Hotels. He has extensive media and performance marketing experience in the Asia Pacific Region with a strong track record of driving business growth. He is a well-respected leader in the media industry.

In addition to the new key hires above, Publicis Groupe has made two leadership appointments in February: Chris Cheng has also joined as Head of PMX of Publicis Media Hong Kong, and Sharon Lau as General Manager of Starcom Hong Kong.
