We Are Social has appointed Travis Wu, a multi-award-winning advertising veteran, as its new China Region Executive Creative Director as they continue to expand their business in Shanghai and Beijing.
Travis Wu (pictured left) joins We Are Social after delivering successful campaigns at leading advertising and PR agencies including Ruder Finn, VICE, DENTSU, Ogilvy, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, and McCann.
Prior to joining We Are Social, Wu has worked brands such as McDonald’s, Carlsberg, Budweiser, Mercedes Benz, Suntory Whiskey, and Microsoft, combining his background in copywriting together with the ability to identify stories that resonate with the audience while unveiling unique aspects of the brands through new technologies and platforms.
During the 17-year career, his dedication to exploring unique ways of engaging with the audience has won him major awards, such as AdFest, Long Xi Awards, Times Asia-Pacific Awards, and 4A Awards.

Wu will be leading the development of We Are Social’s creative vision, working with a team of editors, copywriters, art directors, videographers, photographers and designers, delivering groundbreaking social-first ideas for clients like Under Armour, Dr. Martens, Chaumet, MCM, and many others.
