To celebrate Mother’s Day WeChat Pay expanded their services to help domestic helpers working abroad via Tencent Shenzhen

Tencent Shenzhen has released this new Mother’s Day campaign for WeChat Pay, upgrading their WeRemit service to allow easier and more convenience money withdrawals and transfers from country to country.

 

Since its launch in 2019, WeRemit has serviced over 300,000 domestic helpers from the Philippines. For this year’s Mother’s Day, WeRemit was upgraded to version 2.0 to expand its services to Indonesian mothers and to expand the convenience of withdrawals between Thailand and Indonesia. This also expands the popularity of Wechat pay. So far WeRemit achieved a 78% penetration rate, boosting the user growth of WeChat Pay to 8% among employers in Hong Kong and users in the Philippines and Indonesia.
