Mitsubishi Electric Hong Kong introduces “Connecting Children with Nature” program – a CSR initiative with the aim of supporting green innovation and educating future generation on sustainable living. Dedicated to building a better world, Mitsubishi Electric has been utilising diverse technological assets to solve living and environmental issues for over a century, living up its brand promise of “Changes for the Better”.
Collaborated with the research team led by Dr. Shien-Ping Feng, Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong, the program provides a series of activities introducing the novel invention of Direct Thermal Charging Cell (“DTCC”) which can effectively convert waste heat into usable electricity, and its application, making the learning of sustainable living a fun experience for the future generation.
The program concept was developed by its communication partner dentsumcgarrybowen Hong Kong, including identifying tech partners, engaging school community to designing the workshop. The team also supported the program implementation and management.
“Celebrating Mitsubishi Electric 100th anniversary, we presented this “Project for Good” idea and it showed how great partnership could lead to impactful and meaningful outcome.” said, Sky Lo, Creative Director, dentsumcgarrybowen Hong Kong, “Realization of a vibrant and sustainable society through continuous technological innovation and ceaseless creativity is Mitsubishi Electric’s brand vision while at dentsu we embrace purpose into our work, to do good for the society.
