Globe Telecom celebrates International Friendship Day in new campaign via Publicis JimenezBasic Philippines
Globe Telecom and Publicis JimenezBasic Philippines wanted to celebrate those special friendships this International Friendship Day (July 30) and every day.
The thought behind the campaign is simple text, an unexpected call, a gif sent in the middle of the day – these mean more now than they ever did. The world is going through a lot, but thanks to our friends we get through every day with a smile.
Asian superstars Bright Vachirawit and Win Opas-Iamkajorn join Globe in launching the Friendship Day Challenge. They started with a Facebook Live event where they launched a music video featuring the classic friendship tune: Stand by Me by Ben E. King.
After the video, the stars invited their fans from all over the world to make their friends’ day better by filling the internet with friendship and togetherness. All they needed to do is post anything – it can be a photo, a meme, a funny GIF, or a touching message – that they feel will brighten up someone’s day and use the hashtag #AtinAngTrueFriendship (True Friendship is Ours).
Chosen entries will be reposted by the brand and featured on the Globe Bonifacio High Street billboard for everyone to see.
