Ogilvy Malaysia appoints Debdan Banerjee to Head of Integrated Strategy role

Ogilvy Malaysia has announced the appointment of Debdan Banerjee as Head of Integrated Strategy. He has been tasked with leading the office’s strategy department, ensuring strategic integrity and effectiveness across all clients and capabilities.

 

Banerjee will report to both Chief Executive Ogilvy Malaysia, Nizwani Shahar, and Jason Hill Chief Strategy Officer Ogilvy Singapore & Malaysia

Banerjee’s appointment follows the recent hires of Alicia Yap as Executive Group Director and Moheeta Tamrakar as Director of Experience and Social, as part of the agency’s wider transformation agenda. Banerjee will act as the membrane between business, brand and digital strategy.

Jason Hill, Chief Strategy Office Singapore, said: “Debdan will ensure we deliver brand impact and effectiveness through our integrated strategy enablement team. Not only to ensure we can deliver on the business and brand needs of existing and new clients, but also to broaden our strategy purview to include aspects of experience which would include digital marketing, commerce, personalisation and more. To do this, Debdan will be working with our extended strategy team in Singapore and the rest of the Strategy Community in our network.”

Banerjee has 21 years of work expeerience on both the agency and client side. He joins Ogilvy from Entropia and prior to that, spent a large part of his career at Leo Burnett. He worled on brands such as Petronas, Tenaga Nasional, AIA, Dutch Lady, Samsung, YES! Mobile and more.
