Wunderman Thompson APAC hires Aadit Bimbhet to Regional Commerce Director role

Wunderman Thompson APAC has announced the appointment of Aadit Bimbhet to Regional Commerce Director role, based in Singapore.

After over a decade in the commerce space in APAC with leadership roles covering the region, Bimbhet joins Wunderman Thompson to help extend the agency’s commerce capability and continue to deliver seamless commerce solutions for clients that bridge the gap between inspiration and conversion.

Bimbhet has built D2C, B2C & B2B e-commerce operations for brands across fashion, apparel, beauty, electronics, and consumer goods industries in APAC. Most recently, as Head of D2C e-Commerce at Reckitt Benckiser, he helped scale its health and nutrition business in ASEAN.

Before Reckitt Benckiser, Bimbhet set up and led the D2C e-commerce business at Luxasia as General Manager for APAC. He also served as Head of e-Commerce Implementation for SP eCommerce, a full-service e-commerce enabler, where he helped launch 12 Direct-to-Consumer stores across six countries in APAC.

Bimbhet said: “e-Commerce in APAC has seen massive growth during COVID and as millions of new consumers come online, brands need a holistic and seamless e-commerce strategy to attract and retain them. The future belongs to brands that combine technology, creativity and insight to build experiences that excite and delight. I’m excited to join the Wunderman Thompson team and help brands succeed in e-commerce in APAC.”

Bimbhet has worked with a portfolio of global and regional brands including adidas, Uniqlo, Under Armour, Nestle, Canon, Muji, Levi’s and Philips.

Kaythaya Maw, Chief Technology Officer of Wunderman Thompson APAC, said: “Over the past year, Commerce has become the fastest growing area of the Wunderman Thompson business and we are thrilled to keep this momentum going. Aadit brings both a strategic and nuanced understanding of e-commerce within the region, and will help us continue to drive growth for our clients by narrowing the gap between inspiration and transaction.”
