Chipsmore switches paintballs with chocolate chips in new film via Leo Burnett Malaysia

Leo Burnett Malaysia and production company Passion Plus have created this film showing a group of teenagers playing paintball when their ammo is swapped out for chocolate chips by Cookie Guy, the Chipsmore mascot.

Like the name suggests, Chipsmore has always been about more chocolate chips in cookies. So, to launch its new and improved recipe with even more chips, the homegrown Malaysian brand took things to the next level with an action-packed, paintball-inspired film.

To work around production limitations during the pandemic lockdown, the agency and production house decided to have the film shot in Bangkok and supervised remotely – with the only local talent attending the shoot being Cookie Guy himself.

This film isn’t the first time Chipsmore is revitalizing its approach to build relevance with GenZ. Leo Burnett Malaysia recently merged marketing and social storytelling by launching The World’s First Cookie Influencer on Instagram @TheRealCookieGuy
