Geometry Ogilvy Japan appoints Mary Lee to Experience practice leadership role

Geometry Ogilvy Japan has appointed Mary Lee in a leadership role for their growing Experience practice. Lee will partner with clients to support their digital transformation ambitions across experience, creative and integrated marketing.

Lee returns to the WPP family and joins Geometry Ogilvy Japan from Pivotal Labs (now VMWare Tanzu Labs) where she helped customers modernize their applications and create new software.

Before Pivotal Labs, she was a VP of client services at Huge where she developed unique experiences for clients from customer driven insights. She has previously held lead roles at AKQA and JWT. She brings a wealth of experience leading clients from across the Fortune 500, including some of the world’s biggest brands, like McDonalds, Google and Johnson & Johnson.

Ichiro Ota, CEO of Geometry Ogilvy Japan said: “We have seen explosive growth in our experience practice over the last 12 months. Clients are increasingly reaching out to help them navigate the complexity in digitizing their businesses. Changing Japanese consumer expectations are driving the need to embrace digital transformation quicker and better than ever. Mary, alongside some other key talent and partners, GOJ is well placed to help brands navigate Japan’s new digital transformation to drive business results”.

Lee said: “I’m delighted to partner with iconic brands in Japan and across the region and to work with talented, intelligent and kind individuals who are committed to creating impactful experiences and delivering business outcomes for our clients.”
