Kymechow has just launched the first ad in a new campaign for Airwallex in Hong Kong, one of the hottest rising stars in the Fintech world right now.
This is the first time Airwallex has embarked on a major traditional ad spend. While they’ve been building business through a lot of direct and online marketing, and strong word-of-mouth, they now recognise the importance of building the brand through advertising, and this is the first step in that direction.
This billboard has just gone up in the heart of Wanchai above the heavy traffic congestion along Gloucester Rd, on top of the Wanchai bypass, and is designed to coincide with Fintech Week, which starts on November 3rd in Hong Kong.
Chris Kyme, Co-founder and creative director at Kymechow, said: “One of the key selling points about Airwallex services is faster, more convenient global payment facilities. So we played on that and the fact that the media site sits right above some of Hong Kong’s worst daily slow traffic lanes. It’s actually so refreshing to work with an ambitious client who for once sees the power of doing something simple and bold. We live in a world where most outdoor we see is the usual boring and predictable celebrity-laden wallpaper. While everyone goes on about how traditional media is dead, we see the sharing of great, classic old posters in social media. Why can’t we do that sort of work today? Outdoor remains such a powerful and visible medium.”
