Renowned Thai creative leader Anuwat Nitipanont joins VMLY&R Thailand as Chief Creative Officer
VMLY&R Thailand has announced the appointment of highly-awarded creative leader Anuwat Nitipanont as Chief Creative Officer. Known fondly as Bert, he resigned from his chief creative officer role at BBDO Bangkok in October last year.
Nitipanont reports directly to Yupin Muntzing, Chief Executive Officer of VMLY&R Thailand, and joins a regional team of creative leaders headed up by Valerie Madon, Chief Creative Officer Asia.
An award-winning creative leader at the forefront of Thailand’s advertising industry, Nitipanont has a reputation for creating innovative brand experiences. He is renowned for notable works that aim to find new, simple solutions for brands, people, and society. Those works have garnered over 300 creative and effectiveness awards, from major international and local advertising award shows around the world.
Most recently CCO at BBDO Bangkok, under Nitipanont’s creative leadership the agency rose to second spot in Asia’s Hottest Agencies and was named Southeast Asia Agency of the Year by Campaign Brief Asia. In addition, the agency was crowned Thailand Agency of The Year four times, and twice recognized as Thailand Digital Agency of the Year by Adman. He has also worked at some of the world’s most integrated networks including OgilvyOne and MRM.
Nitipanont is ardently committed to the future of creativity, serving as jury at the likes of Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, LIA and Spikes Asia, Adfest, and Ad Stars. He recently served as Jury President for Audio Film Outdoor & Press Lotus Adfest 2020/2021 and was also Chairman of Adman 2019. To foster and inspire local talent, Nitipont heads the Young Lions competition to find the best upcoming Thai talents to compete globally at Cannes.

Nitipanont’s previous CCO role at BBDO Bangkok has been filled by former Wunderman Thompson Thailand ECD Thasorn Boonyanate.
