APAC Tambuli Awards 2022 names Unilever’s Global Brand Vice President April Adams-Redmond as grand executive jury president

April Adams-Redmond, Global Brand Vice President of Unilever has been named the grand executive jury president of the 2022 Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards. As grand jury president, Adams-Redmond will head the grand executive jury tasked to choose the grand prix winners and the platinum, the highest accolade of this award show.

 

The pioneer award show globally that honours creative and effective brands with purpose, the APAC Tambuli Awards recognizes brands that show the seamless integration of creativity + purpose + results. Case study entries must demonstrate how brands uplift society, create positive change, and correlate purpose with purchase. Tambuli is now accepting entries. Campaigns released between January 1 and December 31, 2021 are eligible to enter. Campaigns between January 1 and December 31, 2020 that have not been previously entered, are also eligible for submission for this year’s awards.

Adams-Redmond said: “At Unilever we strongly believe that brands with purpose grow, companies with purpose last, and people with purpose thrive. I am therefore very excited to contribute to the Tambuli Awards this year to recognise brands with purpose as these are the ones that stand out in culture and resonate with consumers.”

Adams-Redmond joined Unilever in 2017 as Global Brand VP. Her responsibilities include annual delivery of the global brand vision, strategy, and plan for Knorr, Unilever’s second largest brand, spanning Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Asia. On top of these responsibilities, she sits on the Unilever Foods & Refreshment leadership team and has overall responsibility for the Scratch Cooking Category, which contributes 5 billion euros of turnover to Unilever. She is a self-professed foodie who holds a Graduate Diploma in Gastronomy with Honors from Le Cordon Bleu, and a B.S. Degree with High Honors from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a Fellow of the Marketing Academy, Marketing Institute of Ireland, and the International Women’s Foundation. She is a passionate driver of bold actions to fix the broken food system; and she is one of the visionaries behind the Future 50 Foods report developed in conjunction with the World Wildlife Foundation – a tangible solution to decrease the environmental impact of our food while increasing the nutritional value of our meals. To date this watershed report has driven over 5.7 billion earned media impressions in more than 95 countries.

Before joining Unilever, Adams-Redmond held senior international marketing, innovation, and eComm leadership roles across a range of companies, including Kerry Foods, The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, and Dell/ Perot Systems. Adams-Redmond and the teams she’s led have won numerous awards for Marketing Effectiveness and Creativity: IAPI Awards for Effectiveness; Cannes Lions Awards; All Ireland Marketing Team of the Year, Advertising, and Brand Campaign Awards; and The Coca-Cola Company Worldwide Award for Marketing Excellence, to name a few. She is passionate about Nature, Creativity, and Diversity & Inclusion. Adams-Redmond currently lives in The Netherlands with her husband, 14-year-old daughter and 2 lively Cockapoo dogs.
