Ken Hong returns to Weber Shandwick as Executive Vice President, Client Experience APAC

Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global communications and marketing solutions firms, has announced the appointment of industry stalwart Ken Hong, who returns to the firm as Executive Vice President, Client Experience, Asia Pacific.


Based in Korea, Hong rejoins Weber Shandwick after spending the past thirteen years at LG Electronics in Seoul, as the head of corporate communications. Prior to this, he served as managing director at Weber Shandwick in Thailand. He will work closely with all APAC market leadership, and Tyler Kim, CEO, Asia Pacific to help the firms’ clients navigate the complexities of the issues they face in expanding their business across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

With over twenty years of industry experience, Hong has spent his career building and driving innovative strategies to drive business growth and build a positive brand identity across the region and beyond. He has played a key role in expanding LG’s global presence and helped build a comprehensive global infrastructure for their expanded communications strategy. He was named to “The Influence 100” list by PRovoke Media / The Holmes Report for four years (2018-2021) and appointed to the first Creative Effectiveness Jury of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

With Weber Shandwick, Hong will further leverage the power of communications to build brands, manage reputation and drive business for clients outside their home markets.
