Design Bridge picks up four wins at Transform Awards India

Founded in 1986, with offices in London, New York, Shanghai, Singapore, and Amsterdam; Design Bridge are experts at building emotional connections with consumers through exceptionally crafted, powerful design. Working with some of the most iconic brands in the world, as well as some of the smallest and newest start-ups, Transform Awards India’s acknowledgement and appraisal of the agency’s work within the region not only recognises the creative and strategic talents of Design Bridge, but its ability to successfully tell a global story, locally.

Winning 1 bronze in Best Brand Evolution and 1 bronze in Best Brand Experience categories for their work with McDowell’s No. 1 Whisky, Design Bridge Singapore’s bold original thinking and brilliantly crafted design helped the brand to sell over 30 million cases – an incredible feat for a highly competitive category, and one that enabled McDowell’s No.1 to regain its position as the world’s largest whisky brand, five years after losing the top spot. Working in strong partnership with Diageo, the new associated campaign also pushed all the boundaries by becoming progressive, inclusive, confident, young, and aspirational. For the first-time in its history, the brand featured women in all its communications, both offline and online.

Jon Neal, Creative Director, Design Bridge Singapore, said: “This renovation signals a complete transformation of the McDowell’s No1’s visual language. The brand identity was simplified and modernised for the next generation of drinkers, while maintaining the positive attributes that had built the brand’s success and credibility over the years. Within the retail space, the simplicity of the communication messages was combined with progressive key visuals and an impactful tiling of products on shelves. The result is a modern and aspirational aesthetic that brings a new brand experience to our consumers.”

Saridon is India’s number one headache brand and is a legacy leader in the region. Design Bridge rejuvenated the brands proposition after the brand hasn’t communicated with consumers in nearly a decade. Winning Highly commended in the Best Brand Evolution and in the Best Visual Identity from the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sector categories, the redesign saw Design Bridge contemporise and premiumise the brand for young millennials., bringing to life its new purpose “triumphing over pain’. The meaningful evolution of the brand and its assets enabled Saridon to unlock record growth, reinforcing the effectiveness of design on commercial success.

India has been a critical market in DB’s history and growth over the years. The agency has partnered with local giants of the likes of Titan, Brooke Bond Red Label, Gold Flake, MTR, Thumbs up, ITC, Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk and Lakme – just to name a few. Through multiple trips every year for the last 28 years, and now thanks to a team on the ground in Mumbai, the agency has the consumer understanding and can ensure the design work is strategically rooted in culture.

“As design partners to some of the most iconic brands in India, our role is to ensure that a golden thread of design is present across all touchpoints and channels to drive recognition, consistency and authenticity, unifying the brand in consumers’ minds and hearts. We drive this holistic design thinking, commitment to creative excellence and collaboration to ensure the continued commercial success of our clients in India.” said Alexandra Cerruti, Managing Director, Design Bridge Singapore.
