In the Philippines, Mother’s Day was celebrated on May 8. This annual celebration was followed by an even more historic event the next day – the 2022 National Elections. This convergence of two separate occasions is an extremely rare moment because it might not happen again until after the year 2060.
At the onset of such a pivotal time in the nation’s history, Globe Telecom took the opportunity to remind Filipinos why each vote matters. Citizens have been quite passionate about their personal choices and opinions, but the question remains – who should you vote for?
The stripped-down authenticity of the film is a stark contrast to the emotionally-charged banter currently dominating social media. The spot starts out looking like a suspenseful political endorsement. Viewers were quick to realize that this particular ad required no special shoots or effects.
