Ann May Chua has been appointed as Head of Production to lead Virtue APAC’s production capabilities across the APAC region and drive creative excellence.
A seasoned producer with experience in advertising, content, activation, audio, and post production, Chua joins from WPP’s marketing production arm, Hogarth Worldwide, where she was head of integrated production. She has also worked at agencies including BBDO Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi and MassiveMusic Singapore.
As head of production reporting to Virtue APAC managing director Lesley John, Chua will grow and accelerate the agency’s production capabilities, while tapping into the unique production expertise of Vice Media Group. A key member of the APAC leadership team, she will work with the creative and account management teams to elevate creative output and production value.
John said: “We place a strong emphasis on production which brings to life the vision of our creatives while effectively connecting brands with audiences. Ann May is highly experienced and will drive our production capabilities to new levels. I’m delighted to welcome her to Virtue APAC as we continue to deliver for our growing portfolio of global and regional clients.”
Chua said: “Virtue builds brands from inside culture and has a reputation for producing more valued and visible cultural output for these brands. I’m looking forward to partnering with the team and building the creative production credentials for our clients.”
The appointment of Chua is the latest in a series of new talent to join the agency. Last month, Fiona Knight was promoted to the newly created role of head of account management, while other key hires include Chris Gurney who was appointed group creative director, associate creative director, Nuno Dores; business director, Victoria Fernandez and strategy director, Zoe Chen.
Virtue APAC creates global and regional work for clients including Coca-Cola, Diageo and Unilever across offices in Singapore, India and Japan.
