Adzam Bahrin takes on the Regional Creative Director role at GrowthOps Asia

GrowthOps Asia has bolstered their Digital-First Creative services by naming their first Regional Creative Director, Adzam Bahrin. In this new role, Bahrin will be leading the creative direction for Malaysia and Singapore, working on brands including Kia, Grab and RHB.

Bahrin has a strong record of leading the creative department in known agencies bringing with him 12 years of experience, and was formerly the Creative Director of Naga DDB Tribal before joining GrowthOps. He started his career at Ogilvy New York as Junior Art Director and has since honed his skills towards art and creative direction with VMLY&R Malaysia, M&C Saatchi Malaysia, GSW New York, and Leo Burnett Malaysia.

“Having had a lot of experiences across a variety of agencies and cities, I feel GrowthOps is the best place for me to grow because it offers a truly unique opportunity to pair technology with creativity. I have always been obsessed with the idea of shaping the agency of the future, and with GrowthOps paving the way for performance marketing in using enhanced technology; I feel this is the place where that process can really begin,” said Adzam. “There is an abundance of business and tech services under our roof that give us the potential to create new kinds of work that pushes the production levels of our digital creative services to new heights,” he added.

Listed as one of Campaign Brief Asia’s top Creatives in 2020 and 2021, Bahrin joins a strong senior award-winning digital team, including David Mitchell, Head of Creative; Wai Hong Tang Head of Copy; and Look Chee Heng, Head of Art, who will report to him.

GrowthOps also recently promoted Shellen Yong and Mariana Miloski to Business Unit Heads of the Digital-First Creative and Performance Marketing practices respectively, whom Bahrin will work with.

“GrowthOps has built a strong reputation around our enterprise technology delivery and experience design over the past few years, but we still see a strong demand for impactful storytelling,” said Chee Hung Goon, GrowthOps Asia CEO. “With Adzam on board, we feel we have one of the strongest digital-first creative offerings in the market.”

In his regional remit, Bahrin will report to Chris Greenough, General Manager of Malaysia, and Shaad Hamid, General Manager of Singapore. He will also be a critical piece to evolving GrowthOps Asia brand and messaging in the Asia Pacific region.
