Arcade Film Factory wins Film Production House Of The Year at Kidlat Awards

For the first time, Arcade Film Factory has taken out Film Production House of the Year at the Kidlat Awards, the Philippines’ biggest celebration of creativity. The 4-year-old production house received 33 shortlists from the show, and ultimately finished with 18 metals, including 2 golds, 6 silvers, and 10 bronzes. Arcade also received 15 finalists, and helped GIGIL win a Gold for Film and a Grand Kidlat for Classic Creativity with their work Cheers ‘Celebrate.’

The neophyte yet award-winning production house put up by directors Jeorge Agcaoili, Richard Ang, Nick Santiago, Mike Talampas, and Marius Talampas achieved this feat of becoming Film Production House of the Year just on their second time joining the show.

“We owe this to every member of Arcade Film Factory,” Marius Talampas, co-founder & director of Arcade Film Factory said, “this award was only made possible thanks to every hardworking production staff behind the scenes of every project we work on. We’re equally grateful to all the clients and agencies who have trusted us since Day 1!”

The 18 metals and 15 finalists of Arcade Film Factory came from 21 pieces of work.

Last year, in Arcade’s first time joining the Kidlat Awards, the production house already had a strong showing after bringing home the Grand Kidlat for Craft, 2 Golds, 1 Silver, and 10 Bronzes, finishing a close second to the incumbent Production House of the Year Film Pabrika, which hauled in 16 metals from the show.

A big contributor to Arcade Film Factory’s win was their work for Sanitary Care Products Asia entitled Cheers ‘Celebrate’ which won 2 Golds for Best Direction and Best Editing, a Silver for Best Cinematography, and a Bronze for Best Production Design.

Cheers ‘Celebrate’ was also the Philippines’ lone winner at the 2022 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity after winning a Bronze Lion for Film. The same work also helped Arcade Film Factory make history as the first Philippine Production Company to win at the London International Awards after winning a Silver for Direction and a Bronze for Production Design within the Production & Post-Production Category.

Arcade Film Factory has been around since 2019. It is a young, hungry, and awesome production company created by directors Jeorge Agcaoili, Richard Ang, Nick Santiago, Mike Talampas, and Marius Talampas, who are not as young but still hungry and awesome. As of 2023, their roster of directors has grown to 9, bringing in Elena Virata, Andrei Julitan a.k.a. Super Bayani, Jaig De Guzman, Jason Max, and Gab Gucci.
