TBWA\Thailand creates ‘The Plant Heroes’ AR mobile game for PTT to help save the world
These days, global warming is becoming a bigger and bigger problem. So, countries from all over the world got together at the COP26 meeting in 2021 and agreed to completely get rid of greenhouse gas emissions. As Thailand’s National Energy Company, PTT has come up with a strategy called 3P: Pursuit of Lower Emissions, Portfolio Transformation, and Partnership with Nature and Society. Their goal is to reduce emissions and absorb more carbon as quickly as possible. PTT wanted everyone to get involved in this strategy to raise awareness and achieve net-zero emissions successfully.
PTT partnered with TBWA\Thailand to create a mobile AR game called “You Collect, We Plant.” In the game, you can collect virtual trees, and in return, PTT will plant real trees on a million acres of land across the country. The game also teaches you about the benefits of local trees and how to take care of them.
The game has been downloaded over 100,000 times in just 30 days, with a higher daily download rate than some of the popular online games in Thailand.
