electriclime° launches second ‘Game Changers’ film with Riot Games elevating women in esports

electriclime° and Riot Games have teamed up once again to create a second film as part of the VALORANT ‘Game Changers’ series to show the strength of women in esports.

Following on from telling the story of Thai player Jinny, this second documentary-style spot showcases Japanese star Kohal through the VCT Game Changers Tournament.

The project was once again directed and edited by Singaporean filmmaker Daniel Marjan, with the electriclime° team travelling to Berlin for the shoot.

This piece focuses on Kohal, whose dream is to become the number one esports player in Japan, proving there is no difference between men and women in esports.

Having been told in her life that she is ‘weak because she’s a woman’, Kohal and her teammates are determined to prove those doubters wrong and show how strong they can be.

The style of the project combines run-and-gun documentary filmmaking with thought-out cinematic profiles, with the intention to capture the sincere emotions and stories of the lead character.
