MAD STARS has unveiled this year’s Young Stars winners including Wang Leyi & Zhang Zijie from Shanghai Normal University, China, who are the 2023 Gold winners, with their campaign, Translate your parenting skills.
Young Stars gives university students from around the world a taste of what it’s like to work in advertising. These young creatives are given the opportunity travel to South Korea to learn about the craft of advertising from top-tier C-level experts in the advertising and marketing industry from around the world. It’s also a chance to experience first-hand the technology and trends that are emerging and influencing the world.
This year, 52 teams enjoyed a series of workshops and lectures before responding to a brief to promote the idea of Happiness with a Child for the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy in South Korea.
Charmine Assadian, Global Creative Lead, Wunderman Thompson, presided over the judging of this year’s Young Stars competition. He said: “Beware Professionals! The next generation of advertisers and marketers is on its way and they are very talented. The jury was very impressed by the quality of the ideas and the presentations.”
James Keng Lim, Director of Creative Strategy, APAC, GCI Health and MADStar Young Star jury (pictured below, 2nd on right), said: “Creativity is age and experience agnostic.
