New York Festivals launches AME Greater China Awards: The competition celebrating Greater China campaigns is open for entries

New York Festivals 2024 international AME Awards, marking its 30th year, has launched the AME Greater China Awards. AME introduces this new competition dedicated and tailored for Greater China, covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.

 

The AME Greater China Awards aim to showcase and celebrate the innovative and effective work emerging from this dynamic region. Spearheaded by New York Festivals AME Awards, this competition is a testament to the growing influence and impact of advertising and marketing in Greater China.

All entries submitted to the AME Greater China Awards will undergo evaluation by a specially curated Executive Jury. Comprising award-winning industry trailblazers fluent in Chinese, these jurors are renowned for their strategic prowess and are recognized for pioneering both creative excellence and impactful results. Their expertise brings a global industry perspective and a nuanced understanding of China’s creative and effective work.

This new competition serves as a platform for industry professionals in Greater China to have their achievements recognized both regionally and on the global stage, reinforcing New York Festivals AME Award’s commitment to celebrating excellence and innovation in advertising and marketing effectiveness worldwide.

Submissions are open to any company operating within Greater China, provided the work was originally produced and aired in Chinese. Entrants are encouraged to present their work in their native language, however English submissions are accepted.

Recognized by the discerning eyes of the AME Greater China Executive Jury—an esteemed panel comprising top Chinese agency and brand executives—the judging process begins with evaluation via New York Festivals’ online platform to select the shortlist. The Executive Jury convenes for in-person judging sessions in the dynamic cities of Shanghai and Beijing to determine the 2024 AME Greater China Award winners. Upholding international standards set forth by the New York Festivals Awards since their inception in 1957, each entry and judging procedure will be meticulously evaluated.

AME Greater China Awards honorees will be presented with the iconic New York Festivals AME Gold, Silver, and Bronze Towers. The top scoring Gold campaign across all Greater China entries will receive the AME Greater China Grand Award (Best of Show) tribute to trailblazing work that is the ultimate of creative effectiveness proving that strategic planning and creative execution can produce extraordinary results.

In 2024, the AME Awards introduced 8 new categories in the Creativity for Positive Impact group, highlighting campaigns across media platforms driving social good, inspiring positive behaviors, and creating meaningful impact. Categories include Artistry for Social Impact, Tech for Social Good, Sustainability Beyond Environment, Youth-Led Initiatives, Community Building, Sustainable Fashion, and, new for 2024, Urban Influence—part of the Best Use of Medium Category Group—spotlighting campaigns utilizing urban environments and unconventional mediums.

Pro bono campaigns are welcomed, expanding opportunities for impactful creativity, as we celebrate innovative work making a difference for brands, NGOs, governmental organizations, and more.

Each year the results of the AME Awards Jury sessions are parsed in the AME Report, an annual ranking report that honors outstanding agencies and brands from 30 countries. View the 2023 AME Report. In the spirit of continuous celebration, the 2024 AME Report, an annual two-tiered ranking report, will feature a special supplement dedicated to the top-scoring agencies and brands in Greater China.

The 2024 AME Greater China Awards competition opened on February 18th, the first deadline is June 18, 2024, and the extended deadline is June 30, 2024, with judging commencing in July.
