The Misfits Camp launches AI campaign and ADHDAILY to celebrate ADHD Month
October is ADHD Awareness Month, and The Misfits Camp is leading the charge to raise awareness and acceptance for this neurodivergent condition. To highlight the unique strengths of individuals with ADHD within the creative industry, the camp launched an innovative AI campaign that compared ADHD intelligence to artificial intelligence. The campaign featured a series of films showcasing the diverse talents and abilities of creatives diagnosed with ADHD, challenging the stigma often associated with the condition.
Merlee Jayme, founder of The Misfits Camp, emphasized the importance of recognizing and harnessing the unique strengths of individuals with ADHD. “When you work with them daily, you discover their incredible brain differences,” she said. “Each person is wired differently, leading to unique behaviors and perspectives. By creating the right environment, exercises, and projects, we can help them excel and contribute valuable insights to the creative world.”
One of the collaborative projects undertaken by the divergent creatives at The Misfits Camp was the development of ADHDAILY, a daily work enabler journal. Designed specifically for individuals with ADHD and Autism, ADHDAILY offers a comprehensive tool for organizing tasks, overcoming procrastination, tracking deadlines, and managing finances.
Led by Kylie Milanes and organized by Sam Alapan, a creative mentor at The Misfits Camp, the team of neurodivergent creatives poured their expertise into designing ADHDAILY from scratch. “We wanted to create a practical resource that would empower individuals with ADHD to thrive in the creative workplace,” explained Alapan.
ADHDAILY, a valuable tool for those seeking to enhance their productivity and overcome the challenges associated with ADHD, is now available exclusively through orders on The Misfits Camp website.
