Chow Kok Keong departs CCO role at INNOCEAN
Chow Kok Keong (aka KK) has announced his departure from his role as Chief Creative Officer at INNOCEAN. A notable creative leader in Southeast Asia, he returned to Jakarta in 2022 to take the creative helm at INNOCEAN after serving as Hakuhodo’s Regional Executive Creative Director, where he managed the Southeast Asia markets while based between Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
With over two decades of experience in the region, KK was engaged by INNOCEAN to spearhead a creative overhaul. His strategic leadership and creative vision were instrumental in elevating the agency’s creative profile, and driving transformative growth for clients in Indonesia, Singapore, and more.
KK said: “Two and a half years ago, I joined with a burning ambition to transform this three-year-old in-house agency. With persistence and internal support, I focused on fostering deep client relationships and showcasing our creative excellence across Indonesia and the region.”
Under KK’s creative leadership, the agency achieved remarkable results, including an impressive win at D&AD. Project #YellowCanteen picked up Indonesia’s first and only D&AD Yellow Pencil, along with two Graphite Pencils and two Shortlists. This achievement propelled the agency to an all-time high ranking of #2 in Asia and #29 globally in the D&AD 2024 Rankings—a first-ever within the INNOCEAN network.
“Together with my team, we were committed to delivering impactful results for the agency. It’s been an exhilarating journey filled with challenges and hard work. Now, after a rewarding yet exhausting period, I look forward to taking a long-overdue break to recharge and spend time with my family before my next chapter begins,” added KK.
KK leaves a remarkable footprint as the first creative to be ranked Indonesia’s #1 most awarded Creative Director for five consecutive years in Campaign Brief Asia’s Creative Rankings.
