Leo Kuala Lumpur goes back to back as #1 in Malaysia in the Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings: Ogilvy and Havas retain #2 and #3
Campaign Brief Asia’s 2025 Creative Rankings for Malaysia has seen Leo Kuala Lumpur extend its lead as the #1 most-awarded in the country. With 1,225 Creative Ranking points Leo has a substantial lead over Ogilvy Malaysia – at #2 with 560 Creative Ranking points. Havas Creative maintains their #3 ranking, as does The SHOUT Group at #4.
With no movement among the top four, Leo has gone back-to-back as Malaysia’s #1 agency, following strong performances at AdFest, Spikes Asia and The Work in 2025. Additional wins at The One Show and Clio contributed to a further 650 points, taking the agency’s total to 1,225 points across 2025 and 2024. Much of this success was driven by Hidden in Plain Sight, which also won at Cannes Lions, LIA, MAD Stars and One Asia in 2024.
Ogilvy’s strong 2024 performance has kept the agency in second place, ahead of Havas Creative and The SHOUT Group. Ogilvy picked up awards at major global shows including LIA, D&AD and Clio, alongside wins at Spikes Asia, The Work and a strong showing at One Asia – for Colgate “A Million Logos.”
Havas Creative’s best performance came at Spikes in 2024, they also picked up awards at One Asia 25, AdFest 24, MAD Stars 24 and The Work 25 + 24.
Grey moved up slightly to enter the top five, followed by Muma, Fisherman Integrated, M&C Saatchi, VML and The Clan.
Malaysia’s most awarded creative in this year’s Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings is VML Malaysia creative director, and former Innocean Indonesia creative, Alvin Ho. Ho sits at #1 in Malaysia, with 1,040 Creative Ranking points, and won most of his awards in 2024 while working in Indonesia.
Leo Malaysia’s Jing Jie Chang is the 2nd highest ranked individual creative in Malaysia with 1,015 Creative Ranking points over the past 2 years.
David HK Tan and Vickknesh Raj are ranked #3 and #4 overall in Malaysia. Chang finished just 15 points ahead of Tan and 30 points clear of Raj. Both Tan and Raj have recently relocated to Singapore.
Leo’s Diyana Yusof placed #5, followed by Leo’s Poon See Hian at #6. The five Leo creatives listed above were behind the agency’s award-winning Heineken campaign ‘Heidden in Plain Sight’.
Havas creatives Donevan Chew, Shireen Ang and Dhabitah Zainal filled the next three positions, with a recent win for KFC’s Extra Finger Licking Good at the recent One Asia Awards, along with additional wins at AdFest, MAD Stars and Spikes Asia in 2024.
James Voon from FCB SHOUT Malaysia rounds out the top 10.
