TBWA\Sri Lanka named Industry Leader at 2026 Dragons of Sri Lanka
TBWA\Sri Lanka has been named the No. 1 Industry Leader at the 2026 Dragons of Sri Lanka, with one Gold, two Silver, two Bronze and two Black Dragons across four campaigns.
The achievement places TBWA\Sri Lanka at the top of this year’s Dragons Industry Leader Ladder, with its recognised work spanning multiple creative disciplines and addressing very different business, consumer and societal challenges.
All seven recognitions came from four campaigns developed for just two long-standing clients – Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka and Maliban Biscuit Manufactories.
Leading the agency’s performance was Hutch Roaming – The Roaming Hack, which won Gold in Artificial Intelligence and a Black Dragon in Small Budget. The idea demonstrated how technology could be used as a creative enabler to solve a practical consumer challenge in an unconventional way.
Hutch Pissuwak (‘This is Crazy’) was awarded Silver in Product Launch or Re-launch, while Maliban Biscuit Manufactories’ HumaniTill secured Silver in Event or Experiential and Bronze in Cause, Environment or Sustainability.
HumaniTill transformed the act of giving into a tangible experience, creating a meaningful connection between participation and positive social impact.
Maliban’s The One Breath Challenge, created for Air Day, also earned Bronze in Media, alongside a Black Dragon in Creative Excellence.
Together, the recognised work spans Artificial Intelligence, Product Launch or Re-launch, Event or Experiential, Cause, Environment or Sustainability, Media, Creative Excellence and Small Budget.
Nathasoruban Sivapasam, Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Sri Lanka, said: “The most rewarding part of this result is the breadth of the work. We were recognised for campaigns that tackled very different challenges, from using AI to rethink a roaming proposition to turning giving into a lived experience. For us, that is what creativity is about – finding the idea that best solves the problem, rather than starting with a particular medium or format.”
The result is also a reflection of TBWA\Sri Lanka’s philosophy of Disruption® in Action – challenging established approaches and finding new opportunities for brands to connect with people.
“Being named No. 1 Industry Leader is a reflection of what Disruption® in Action means to us. It’s about bringing a different way of thinking to every challenge – not disruption for the sake of being different, but finding better answers for our clients and their audiences,” said Renuka Marshall, Managing Director, TBWA\Sri Lanka.
The agency also credits its long-standing client partnerships and the teams behind the work as an important part of the achievement.
“Behind every piece of recognised work is a team that challenged the obvious, worked collaboratively and pushed an idea further. And behind that is the trust our clients place in us to do things differently. That is what makes this result particularly meaningful for the whole agency,” said Ahmed Hassan, Chief Operating Officer, TBWA\Sri Lanka.
The 2026 Dragons result marks another significant milestone for TBWA\Sri Lanka, reinforcing the agency’s ambition to turn unconventional thinking into ideas that challenge the expected and create meaningful impact.
