KFC Myanmar launches film challenging Lahpet Htamin tradition with Popcorn Chicken

KFC Myanmar is challenging a familiar convention around one of the country’s most beloved traditional dishes, Lahpet Htamin (Burmese Tea Leaf Rice), with its new platform, with KFC, ‘No Other Crunch is Needed’.

Traditionally served with crunchy toppings including fried beans, peanuts and dried shrimp, Lahpet Htamin has long been associated with the belief that the more toppings added, the better the dish.

KFC Myanmar challenges that convention by making its own chicken the hero. Rather than adding more crunch, the brand pairs Myanmar’s spicy and sour Lahpet with warm steamed rice and KFC Popcorn Chicken, creating a new experience that brings together local culinary heritage and KFC’s global quality.
