MAD STARS 2026: Who were the top performers?

The MAD STARS awards night was held last Friday in Busan, with Dentsu Inc Tokyo named Agency of the Year for the sixth time. Dentsu Inc Tokyo collected 20 awards across the festival, including one Grand Prix, one Gold, four Silvers, eight Bronzes and six Crystal awards. In addition to the Grand Prix winners listed in the chart below, TBWA\Hakuhodo Tokyo and FP7 McCann Dubai were also awarded the two Grand Prix of the Year trophies.

TBWA\Hakuhodo leads the agency performance rankings with two Grand Prix, two Golds and two Silvers, followed by Leo Hong Kong with one Grand Prix and five Golds. Wolf BKK and VML Thailand each won one Grand Prix, with Wolf also collecting three Golds and two Silvers, while VML Thailand picked up three Golds and four Bronzes. Progression CA Kazakhstan was awarded one Grand Prix, two Golds and three Bronzes, while Dentsu Inc Tokyo’s haul included one Grand Prix, one Gold, four Silvers and eight Bronzes.

Rounding out the Grand Prix winners were FP7 McCann Dubai, POP5 Bangladesh and BBDO Guerrero Philippines, each with one Grand Prix. FP7 McCann Dubai also collected one Gold.

Overall, the results highlight a strong showing from agencies across Asia and the wider region, with Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Bangladesh and the Philippines all represented among MAD STARS’ leading performers.
